Eduvo is committed to transparency about how our services are provided and regulated, and how your money is protected.
1. Eduvo is not a bank
Eduvo is a financial technology platform. We are not a bank and do not ourselves hold a banking licence. We partner with licensed financial institutions to deliver regulated banking, e-money, and payment services.
2. Who provides the regulated services
Banking and payment services are provided by Wallester AS, a licensed payment and electronic money institution operating across the European Economic Area, with services in the United Kingdom provided under applicable authorisations. Visa cards are issued under licence from Visa. Payment services are subject to PSD2 and applicable European and UK financial-services legislation.
3. Safeguarding of funds
Customer funds are held and safeguarded in segregated accounts in accordance with applicable Electronic Money Institution (EMI) safeguarding requirements. Safeguarded funds are kept separate from the institution's own funds and are not used for its business operations.
Because Eduvo provides e-money services rather than deposit-taking, safeguarded funds are not covered by national deposit guarantee schemes. Safeguarding is designed to protect funds in the unlikely event of insolvency of the institution.
4. Treasury and investment risk
Treasury products involve investment risk. The value of treasury instruments may fluctuate and you may receive back less than you invest. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Eligibility for treasury products may vary by market and account type, and Eduvo does not provide investment advice.
5. Markets and compliance
Eduvo services are currently available in Spain, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Compliance standards include PCI-DSS Level 1, PSD2, GDPR, and DORA across all supported markets. Product availability and features may vary by market.
6. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@eduvo.io so we can put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them within the timeframes required by applicable regulations. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to escalate to the relevant financial ombudsman or regulator in your market.
